Daniel Charette is seasoned entrepreneur, a veteran and pioneer of renewable energies in Canada and US since 1998. He began his career in wind power by becoming in 1998, the first director of manufacturing by the Danish wind turbine manufacturer NEG Micon for the establishment of the first North American wind turbine assembly plant for the 100 MW Quebec Le Nordais project. From 1999 to 2002, he established Canada's first regional wind turbine operation and maintenance center in Quebec, then considered the largest wind farm in Canada. From 2002 to 2005, he acted as national sales director for Canada and during the merger with Vestas. In 2005, he joined the ranks of Brookfield Renewable where he acted as director of business development for the renewable energy division covering the development of more than $1B of projects and first acted as project manager for the +$400M Prince 1 and 2 wind projects. In addition, he has been involved in several other companies in the field, AAER, Pionner Wind Energy Systems, NRG Systems/Oenko, Leader Resources and Moventas.
Since 2019, Daniel has been the Chief Operating Officer and one of the founding members of CHARBONE Hydrogen Corporation a TSXV company. He is responsible for the establishment and deployment of Charbone's green hydrogen production facility network in North America, the various partnerships for the establishment of ecosystems and he oversees all the renewable energy power purchase agreements.
Daniel, is vice-president of Hydrogène Québec association, one of the founder of the Manitoba Green Hydrogen Round Table and has served on many boards of directors, including; the Canadian Wind Energy Association (ACEE) for nine years, the Quebec Association of Renewable Energy Producers (AQPER), the Latin American Wind Energy Association (LAWEA,) and the energy efficiency committee of lower St-Lawrence River.
